Terror . . . “The Light-Bearer Series” by Emily Guido
The man’s mouth nuzzled Charmeine’s neck as she felt his long fangs scrape against her skin. He hissed in an English accent, “I do not have long my sweet. This is a warning to the group of criminals living here. The Elder Council knows about this band of outlaws and everyone will end up on the Altar of Judgment. However, I have wanted you for a long time. I sent that inept Blood-Hunter to retrieve you. He was unable to complete his task. No matter, I want you . . . and I always get what I want,” he growled.
The breath was knocked out of Charmeine’s lungs, and she looked shocked and bewildered.
“Ah, my dear you are luscious. I could be persuaded to change the harsh punishment for your little band of insurrectionists if you come with me willingly to Athens? I will bargain their lives for yours. Think about it. No one has to die if you come with me now. The Elder Council will forget about everyone here, just submit to me, my sweet.”
“My dear you are even more spirited and beautiful than the last time I saw you. I did not think it possible you would be this sensuous. Your body . . . oh, it will please me well.” He touched her arm.
She jerked it away, winced and with clenched teeth, “Get your hands off of me!”
He was still holding her wrists in a vice grip. The man leaned his head to her neck and inhaled and purred, “You smell so good.”
Charmeine sarcastically yelled, “It’s called ‘soap’! Haven’t you ever used it before? You filthy piece of . . .”
The man growled and gripped her throat with his free hand, bearing his fangs.
Charmeine was terrified and remembered the Blood-Hunter who bit into her neck with barbarity and savagery. She whimpered when she felt his fang on the skin of her neck ready to pierce the jugular. His breath cooled her skin. She shivered and recoiled at the thought of his teeth sinking into her neck.
From out of nowhere, Sandra ran across the terrace and threw a full body kick to his head. “You pig! Get away from her!”
He stumbled back releasing Charmeine.
Sandra placed a unison punch to his face and stomach. Before he had time to recover, she whipped around giving him a scissor kick to his mid-section.
Charmeine watched in awe while the petite Sandra jumped up and gave him a huge swiping kick to the jaw, smacking him hard into the terrace wall making the stone break.
The man growled and lunged toward Sandra.
She threw herself in front of Sandra bearing her electrified hands in front of her.
Sandra’s hands began to fire with blue-hot flames and stepped beside her.
He gave Sandra a deadly glare and hissed angrily, “You are going to be sorry for that bitch!” The dark man growled deeply with his eyes turning completely black.
He looked at Charmeine’s sparking hands and composed himself, dressed down his jacket and said in a matter of fact way, “Another one. How delightful, the Elder Council will not have fight over you, Charmeine.”
She was taken-aback, and thought, How in the Hell do you know my name? Her eyes opened wide with curiosity.
“Oh, I see you still do not remember?” An obnoxious grin swept over his face. “What a shame, we could have reminisced. After all, we shared such a loving, intimate moment. Poor little Charmeine, so pitiful you cannot remember.” He stood very close to her looking like a cat ready to strike. He hissed, “My luscious Charmeine, let me introduce myself, I am Pascal.”
Charmeine’s face went white. “Pascal? As in Thomas’ Father . . . Pascal?”
“Yes, my dear.”
Sandra and Charmeine both gasped.
In a sing song voice, he mocked, “Tsk, tsk, Charmeine. We knew each other in a much different way. Your body against mine was divine. I have been waiting to see you again and renew our past acquaintance.”
Charmeine’s stomach was nauseous and her body started to shudder. She shook her head, and yelled, “NO!” White light amassed in her hands and wind started to stir around them.
Sandra’s hands fired blue flames at him.
He easily avoided the flames using superhuman speed.
Unbeknownst to Charmeine and Sandra . . . Tabbruis, Shane, Neal, Thomas and Dmitri had rushed into the doorway of the terrace. The men dove to attack Pascal, but Dmitri held all of them back. He saw the deadly electricity and wind flying around Charmeine and the lethal flames engulfing Sandra’s hands.
Tabbruis was still fighting to get lose.
Dmitri whispered, “Stay back, they will not die. Tabbruis believe.”
Sandra gave Pascal massive side-kicking blow to the chin which swirled him around. Her hands burned with blue fire. “Let’s give him some serious damage, Mom!”
As Pascal’s hand held his face, he raised his eyebrows and laughed, “Oh Mom? I did not notice a resemblance.”
Charmeine, too smart to give anything away, sarcastically said, “Not the brightest bulb in the package, huh?”
He growled at her.
She held one finger at him charged with a large electric current glowing so bright that it lit up the whole side of the castle. Wind rushed around them like a lazy tornado. She began to hover off of the ground.
Charmeine’s loud booming voice cracked with thunder, “One touch of my finger and you will die Pascal! Your arrogance will be your undoing! Go back to the Elder Council! I will bring ‘God’s Holy Altar of Righteous Judgment’ down upon you all! They will be with Lucifer chained in the Lake of Torment and Fire! Bide your time, you black devil, because you will suffer for eternity!”
