I am writing about a personal experience.
The hurricane Sandy was my first time I felt like I was in real danger.
I have been through tons of tornadoes in Southern Indiana, Tornado Alley but…
NOTHING LIKE THIS!
Don’t get me wrong, each are devastating, but like I said, Storm of Century, Sandy was unrelenting!
I haven’t blogged since the storm.
I have to BEG PARDON to the wonderful Authors, Felicity Heaton, Joleene Naylor and David Lee Summers for waiting on me to post the second half to “FANGS and HEARTS” week.
I will do so, but this I felt was more of a personal story I wanted to share.
However, I wanted to show my friends and readers what this storm has done to my area.
During Sandy

Night fall during Sandy

After Sandy

Now Sandy’s presents:
no electricity
no water
no food
long lines
and homelessness

For us, it wasn’t so bad. We have electricity and in line for 3 hours getting gas in our car. So, we are okay. We still have a home.
However, Food, Gas, and Power are now our biggest concern here in New Jersey. A lot of people lost their homes and livelihood.
So I am starting a new week… maybe I will start blogging soon but for right now, the aftermath of Sandy is all I am thinking about.
Take care, be well and cherish everyday…. I do
Emily
