I received Charmeine – the first book in the Light-Bearer series, and going into it I had no idea what to expect. The blurb on the book says Can romance develop between a Heavenly Light-Bearer and a Hellish vampire Blood-Hunter?
I went into the book expecting something akin to Twilight, and I am pleased to say that it turned out better than I expected. There were a couple of places where I thought “But that’s not possible” until later on I realised that the male protagonist, Tabbruis isn’t an actual Vampire. They are similar in that they have to drink blood to survive, but they are in fact, Demons.
